My book How to Survive an Estralarian Mind Meld came about due to a prank press release about a book I hadn’t written called The McAllister Code. At the time, I was kind of obsessed with exploring other ways of seeing the world and weaving them all together to try to make sense of things, a paradigm I’ve since come to call “The Unbroken Path.” However, I liked the story that the prankster suggested, so I eventually used the outline I’d developed to infuse the story with elements from all of our traditions.
It was written by developing an outline derived from several different ideological paradigms and weaving them together by following the consistent flow between all of them. Upon reading it, some of them are more glaring than others, but I feel that each of these paradigms describe the human experience and can help us as we make our way to whatever “next level” we are striving for.
As you read the book, you will find principles drawn from the teachings of:
Aristotle – Dramatics
Joseph Campbell – A Hero with a Thousand Faces
David Hawkins – Power vs. Force
Stephen Covey – The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
James Redfield – The Celestine Prophecy
The Major Arcana of the Tarot
The Buddhist Eightfold Path
The 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous
Dr. Wayne Dyer
The Seven Chakras
The Four Elements, Suits, and Human Aspects
Few of these paradigms are explained totally outright, but each contributed in their own way in the development of the book. I’ve imagined that How to Survive an Estralarian Mind Meld is part one of a quadrology, and I’ve already begun work on the other three parts. But truth be told, I’m interesting in much bigger things than merely turning Sarasota into a marketing mecca. Nevertheless, there is something inside of me telling me that it is part of the process, and a burgeoning creative economy in Sarasota and a new, more balanced economy for our country and world, are co-existing paths.
I will be sharing the story through this blog, along with my other writings, but if you’re like most readers who want to finish the book in one or two sittings, order your copy here, either in paperback or Kindle.
One reviewer said, “This story spoke to me on so very many levels! It encompassed so much of the truth as I have come to understand it on my path! Is it fiction or is it a true story? Yes, it is.”
