Though many continue to argue that climate change is not due to the activity of humankind, there are very few natural occurrences that cause as much pollution and environmental degradation as the industries and activities that we have created. The very lifestyle that we have adopted compels us to consume our natural resources and create seemingly endless amounts of waste. However, in the grand history of the planet, this cultural activity has been occurring for a very short amount of time. And if history has taught us anything, it is that things can change. Although these changes do not always come without sacrifice and work, they do, and must, come. We have within us the ability to work with the world instead of against it if we can first work with each other.
