With as hyperactive and automated as our world has become, it’s sometimes easy to think that we don’t make a difference. But the reality is that all of that hyperactivity and automation came from human activity in the first place. As a matter of fact, every human pattern, tradition, habit, and other social norm was also started by human activity.
Instead of thinking that our activity doesn’t make a difference, we should start looking for differences we can actually make. Just because human civilization exists does not necessarily mean that it is running optimally. Perhaps there are things we could do today that will make things better for human generations.
Perhaps we will never see the fruit of our labor or see that we have made a difference, but someone certainly will.
